Our Workers

We employ locals for our picking during the season and also employ backpackers from Emerald Backpackers working Hostel for various jobs throughout the year.
We are an active host member of Willing Workers On Organic Farms (WWOOF) and have hosted about 100 workers since 2005. These workers are seeking experience in the Australian way of life and on a working Organic Farm.

SHORT PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Emily Hill Farm is a Certified Organic Blueberry farm, 1 hour from Melbourne by train.
Excellent Self contained accomodation provided. The accomodation is in a stand alone building which includes 2 bedrooms, your own bathroom, kitchen, meals and sitting area.
We grow other organic fruit, including citrus & vegetables for home use. We have cows & calves, alpacas and 2 beautiful dogs. Work is extremely varied. Work could include harvesting in season, packing fruit, mowing, general property maintaince. Ideal for a couple. Min stay 1 week, then negotiable.
We are particularly looking for a couple to stay for a month over the January period which is our busiest time and when blueberries are in full production.
We also work in conjunction with Host Ben Keon-Cohen VB203. WWOOFers may spend time between the two.
