Produce From Emily Hill Farm

Blueberries
Blueberries is our main crop. The season normally starts mid December and continues into February. Information will be available on the ‘Home Page’ regarding opening days and times. Picked fruit is available at the farm gate.

Pick your own is available to registered customers and locals.

We also have Raspberries, Tomatoes, Limes, Lemons, Zucchini, cucumber, Garlic,, eggs and Rhubarb. All Organic and all grown on site.

PYO for ‘Registered Customers’ and locals only. These people have been notified. Please watch to see when PYO will start. Please contact us if you wish to become a registered customer before attending for PYO.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
JAMS and PRESERVES
We make jams and preserves from organic farm produce. These are for sale at the farm in blueberry season, and other times of the year, but ring first.

Other Produce

Jams, Marmalades, Jellies,and Cordial ,all organic, are made with fruits from the farm. These are available at the farm .They are extremely good.

We also have a good range of Birdland Seed ,open pollinated, organic vegetable seeds. www.birdlandseeds.com.

Blueberry Plants
We have a selection of blueberry plants for sale throughout the year.

The varieties we grow are Northland, Denise, Brigitta, Blue Crop, Joy, Oneal, Magnolia, Legacy and Margaret. We grow all these varieties for fruit production and recommend them for this area and southern Australia. Plants are available in 15cm and 20cm pots.

  • The Original Canadian Blueberry Muffin
    BLUEBERRY RECIPE
    The Original Canadian Blueberry Muffin

    2 cups SR flour
    1 cup soft brown sugar
    90 gms butter
    1 cup milk
    1 cup blueberries
    Makes approx. 18 muffins.

    Rub butter into flour and sugar, or process in a food processor. Put mixture into a bowl and add the blueberries and milk and stir together.

    Spoon the mixture into lined muffin tins and bake in a moderate oven for 30 minutes. Butter and eat immediately.
